Temporary Delay

I was going to podcast last night, but couldn't.

Then I was going to podcast tonight, but I can't.
If I'm not on a plane home from Atlanta tomorrow, I'll try to do it then.

Why?

Because a really good man died in Kabul. For the first 24 hours he was just "and an American". Now the news is out. Thor D. Hesla. More from my family here, here and here.

I'll be back to Frankenstein as soon as I can.

Heather, I am so sorry for the Loss of your friend. My heart is so sad. When I looked at his picture, he just seemed so alive and happy. I just had to write to you. And tell you that You are a very lovely person to remember him. I have been listening to you for quit a long time and well...God Bless you! ~ Vanessa

Heather, just checked in today after a very hectic week of my own to find you've been suffering grief of a most profound kind. Your friend sounds like a huge wonderful soul of the kind that will never be forgotten, who will never stop living. How brave he has been! How large living and strong, good and generous with his life! Thank you for sharing with us his story, for reminding us of such heroes, and that someone we know has known someone so very rare.
